Growth happens unconsciously too - Appreciate and Enjoy those moments

A lot of growth happens unconsciously. We think it's necessary to put the effort in for happiness - and it is, but not all the time.

The short story is that our nervous system does much of this for us, when we're faced with a challenge.

Maybe you can relate to this story:

I was told by a supervisor I would not be scheduled for the overtime I needed. I experienced great fear. Without thinking, I decided I would keep asking for what I needed. Maybe from a different supervisor, or a colleague. And in short order, I got the hours I needed.

This experience touched on one of my most powerful fears - of underearning. This fear keeps me from taking chances, and doing the work I need to get what I need. It challenges my courage, and keeps me locked in to underearning and sometimes overworking. It is the definition of a cycle.

The fear is even more pronounced for me when someone is judgemental, dismissive, or angry with me. It has taken me a long time to be able to still ask for what I need when these feelings are present, however with practice it has become easier, and that is the result of growth

And much of that growth happens for us automatically, through repetition, without much reflection or effort.

Can you relate?

Where have you grown into handling difficulty with ease, as a result of experience?

Can you look back on your younger self and see the moments when you were unable to advocate for yourself in situations, whereas now you don't think twice?
Did you sit down and reflect, journal, meditate, or muster the determination to practice new patterns and choices?

Or did it happen automatically for you

Of course we have to put the work in much of the time, but our brains automatically help us - some of time.

I hope you have appreciation and enjoyment for these unconscious, effortless periods of growth.

And with more growth and maturity, they come more frequently.

Fear > acceptance > change > relief

Book your appointment with me and I'll show you how to make this even faster, so you can become and live the way you truly are. By clearing the blockages of fear, judgement, anger, and grief (among others), you will have more room for your natural creativity, grounding, and courage.

Well, it's not courage necessarily - it's actually being grounded and forward moving in the absence of fear...so it looks like courage from the outside.

But that is a different story :)
